Bryant Head Coach Tim O’Shea Announces Retirement

Bryant head coach Tim O’Shea announced his retirement on Monday after ten years at the school and a total of 34 in the college coaching ranks. The Bulldogs are having a rough season, but O’Shea will be remembered more fondly for helping transition the program to Division I play and leading the team to the 2013 CBI Tournament.

“He recruited high-quality student-athletes to Bryant who presented our institution in a first-class manner and helped build Bryant basketball into a competitive program in the NEC,” said President Ron Machtley, “The entire Bryant community wishes coach O’Shea all the best in the future.”

O’Shea, who was previously the head coach Ohio and an assistant at Rhode Island, Yale and alma mater Boston College, will finish out the season as head coach. He currently has 207 Division I coaching victories, 87 of those coming at Bryant.
