Jack Perri fired after five seasons at LIU Brooklyn

LIU Brooklyn has fired head basketball coach Jack Perri after five seasons with the program. Perri led the Blackbirds to a NEC Tournament title and NCAA Tournament berth in 2013, his first season after taking over as head coach.

Perri was hired in 2012 to replace Jim Ferry, under whom he had served as an assistant and associate head coach for seven seasons. In five years, Perri went 77-79 overall and 46-42 in NEC play.

This past season, the Blackbirds went 20-12 (13-5) for a 2nd place NEC finish, the third straight season in which Perri’s team had improved their win total.
