  • Alma Mater: University of Cincinnati (BS, 2004)
  • Played for two year at Cleveland State for Rollie Massimino before transferring to Cincinnati, where he was a student assistant under Bob Huggins
  • Spent two years as an assistant under Jeff Young at then-NAIA Walsh University in Ohio
    • Was on staff for the Cavaliers’ 2005 NAIA D-II National Championship crown
  • Joined Huggins‘ staff at West Virginia in 2007 as DBO before being elevated to assistant coach in 2011
  • Spent five seasons as head coach at Division II Fairmont State (WV), where he went 124-38 overall
  • Hired in March 2017 to be the new head coach at Youngstown State, a return to his home state of Ohio
    • In 2022-23, Calhoun led the Penguins to their first-ever Horizon League title and was named Horizon COY
    • Through six seasons, had an overall record of 118-106; won 22+ games in back-to-back seasons for the first time in program history
  • Left in March 2024 to become the new head coach at Utah State in the Mountain West
