  • Alma Mater: University of North Carolina at Asheville (BA, 2001)
  • Following a stellar prep career at Madison HS, McDevitt played four years for the Bulldogs under head coach Eddie Biedenbach
  • After graduating in 2001, McDevitt became one of Biedenbach‘s assistants
    • Elevated to associate head coach in 2011, holding that position for two seasons
  • Promoted to head coach in April 2013 following the retirement of Biedenbach
    • Led the Bulldogs to the 2016 NCAA Tournament in his third season as head coach by way of a Big South Tournament title
    • Shared the Big South title in 2017 and won outright in 2018, going to the CIT and NIT respectively in those seasons
  • Hired in March 2018 to be the new head coach at Middle Tennessee
