  • Alma Mater: University of Illinois at Chicago (BA, 1991)
  • Graduated from King High School in Chicago before heading off to San Diego State
    • After two seasons, Dildy transferred back home to UIC where he played two years under head coach Bob Hallberg
    • Inducted into the UIC Athletic Hall of Fame in 1995, the State of Illinois Basketball Hall of Fame in 1997 and Chicago Public League Hall of Fame in 1998
  • Spent one year as a student assistant while finishing his degree before becoming a full-time assistant at UIC under Hallberg
  • Throughout his career, Dildy has spent time as an assistant under Ray McCallum, Pat Kennedy, Cliff Ellis, Jeff Lebo, Mike Davis and Jimmy Collins
  • Became the head coach at Chicago State in 2010 after spending the last three years as an assistant at UIC, his second stint coaching at his alma mater
    • In Summer 2016, Dildy was named the interim athletic director at Chicago State; Dildy also retained his position as head men’s basketball coach
    • Fired in March 2018 after eight years as head coach of the Cougars, going just 55-200 during that stretch
  • Hired in Summer 2018 to join Mike Davis‘ first staff at Detroit Mercy as an assistant coach
    • After four years at UDM, Dildy announced his retirement from coaching in August 2022
