If you are a baseball player and decide to surpass the one who is regarded as the greatest, and you want to be greater, you need to pull up your socks big time. As for Aaron Judge, he needs to ensure he gets his A-game right. There is a time when these players play so well that they cause everyone to pause, think, and process what an amazing shot, strike, or pitch that would be. Take note, it does not happen every time this happens. It looks like such talents have an elite, or you need to work 10 times more and harder to reach such a level. Back in the day, we had George Sisler, so can Aaron Judge be the next George Sisler?

Aaron Judge is swinging for history

I can give you an example of Shohei Ohtani; he plays for the Los Angeles Dodgers and recently broke a 73-year-old record with an incredible performance. We are talking about such a performance that makes the crowd cheer. Sometimes it is the little things that cause your followers to stop scrolling just to hit the replay button and reshare.

Here is the thing: Aaron Judge is a good baseball player. In fact, he has the potential to become the next top MLB champion, if we are to call it that. Judge, who stands 6’7″ and wields a bat that resembles a twig, is one of the few players who always bring something special to the game. This time around, he is challenging himself to achieve something great. Can he do it? You know what they say, “Never say never.”

Aaron Judge is on a historic journey to surpass the legendary hit mark of MLB royalty Ichiro Suzuki

This man that Aaron wants to beat, who is he? Ichiro Suzuki played baseball in the early 2000s and made history that 25 years later we still talk about. He was a machine in human form. He would hit baseballs like he had some unexplainable energy. He amassed 262 hits in a single MLB season in 2004; nobody believed it was possible, but it was – he did it.

So, the story is that Aaron Judge wants to surpass that. Yes, that is where we are, and he believes he can. There is an atmosphere that surrounds Aaron; no one seems to be disputing his goal and desire. He has shown a good level of consistency in his career, especially this year. His hits have been quite easy for him, and he has been hitting those balls like his life depends on it. Perhaps that is why he wants to push harder.

Can Aaron surpass Ichiro Suzuki’s 262 hits?

The answer is, we do not know. Honestly, to achieve this, we are talking about consistency. I mean, no record of injuries or setbacks, mental focus, no distractions, no negativity around him, just aiming at being the next Suzuki in the 2025/2026 season. An MLB record that will shake baseball. Can Aaron master all these I have mentioned? With 100% determination, yes, he can.

This will be a good look for the New York Yankees and the overall MLB. The Yankees could make it to the number 1 spot on the MLB Power Rankings. If we can just focus on the serious things and not always on the running and mild strikes, but on the real core of the game that both George Sisler and Ichiro Suzuki brought to the MLB. There is this notion that today’s sportsmen, or rather, modern baseball, is not as good or they are not as good as the previous ones. While generations are different, it does not mean current methods will not work to surpass some of the greatest hits in history.
