Full list of American South Conference (ASC) men’s basketball regular season and tournament champions, including head coach, by year. The American South Conference was established in 1987 with six members (Arkansas State, Lamar, Louisiana Tech, New Orleans, Southwestern Louisiana and UT-Pan American) and added a seventh member (UCF) in 1990. However in 1991, the conference lost all but three members and ultimately merged into the Sun Belt Conference (maintaining the Sun Belt name and history).
