American West Regular Season & Tournament Champions
Full list of American West Conference (AWC) men’s basketball regular season and tournament champions, including head coach, by year. The American West Conference was established in 1993 with five members: Cal Poly, Cal State Northridge, UC Davis, Sacramento State and Southern Utah. The first season of competition was football-only (Division I-AA, now known as FCS). For the first season of basketball (1994-95), UC Davis left and the league competed with just four programs. The conference only lasted through the 1995-96 season before dissolving. Cal State Northridge and Sacramento State joined the Big Sky, Cal Poly joined the Big West, and Southern Utah joined the Summit League after one year as an Independent.
