- Hometown: Kennesaw, Georgia
- Alma Mater: Florida State University (BA, 2004 & MA, 2006)
- Graduated from Harrison HS (GA) where he was all-state in basketball; inducted into the school’s Hall of Fame in 2015
- Played at Florida State from 2000-06 (including two medical redshirts) for head coaches Steve Robinson and Leonard Hamilton; started 52 games in his career and was three-time Academic All-ACC
- Started his coaching career in 2006 as an assistant under Bobby Cremins at the College of Charleston
- Was part of the Cougars’ team that won the SoCon in 2011; also worked alongside fellow assistant Mark Byington
- Spent the 2012-13 season on Tommy Dempsey‘s staff at Binghamton
- Reunited with Byington in 2013, spending the next nine seasons on his staff at Georgia Southern (2013-20) and James Madison (2020-22)
- Hired in April 2022 to be the head coach of the VMI Keydets in the SoCon
