- Son of former NBA and Tulane coach Mike Dunleavy, Sr., younger brother of Duke star and long-time NBA player Mike, Jr.
- Came to Villanova in 2001 after a standout prep career at Jesuit High School in Portland, OR
- Played four seasons with the Wildcats, all under head coach Jay Wright
- After graduation, moved to New York and worked at Merrill Lynch for four years before returning to Villanova in 2010
- Spent two seasons as DBO, one as an assistant and four as associate head coach under Wright at his alma mater
- Wildcats were 129-17 in his four years as associate head coach, winning the NCAA National Championship in 2016
- Hired in March 2017 to become the head coach at Quinnipiac of the MAAC
- Through six seasons at the helm, Dunleavy went 86-93 overall, including a 20-12 record in 2022-23
- Dunleavy stepped down in April 2023 to take a newly-created role at Villanova as GM of men’s and women’s basketball
- He supports the two head basketball coaches with things related to NIL, transfer portal, branding/marketing and fundraising
