Bart Lundy named head coach at Milwaukee

Bart Lundy, who had been the head coach at D-II Queens (NC), was announced on Saturday as the new head coach at Milwaukee. Lundy went 333-103 overall at Queens (1998-2003 and 2013-2022), reaching the D-II NCAA Tournament ten times and twice making the Final Four.

“Today is an exciting day as we get set to welcome Coach Lundy and his family to Milwaukee,” AD Amanda Braun said in a statement. “We want our program to be led by an experienced head coach who is a proven winner, recruits high-level student-athletes of good character, and is highly regarded by his peers. Bart Lundy exemplifies all of these qualities and more.”

Lundy is a Virginia-native who started his career as a student assistant at Winthrop. Among his other D-I jobs are a six-year stint as the head coach at High Point, as well as three years on Buzz Williams‘ staff across town at Marquette (2009-12).
