  • Alma Mater: University of North Carolina at Charlotte (BA, 1992) / Pfeiffer University (MBA, 1994)
  • The NC-native played for Jeff Mullins at Charlotte for two years, then for head coach Bobby Lutz at then-NAIA Pfeiffer (NC)
    • Started his coaching career as an assistant under Lutz for three seasons at Pfeiffer
  • Next up was a four-year stint working under head coach Rand Chappell; two years each at NAIA Phillips (OK) and D-II Henderson State (AR)
  • Returned to alma mater UNC Charlotte in 2000, becoming an assistant under his former coach Bobby Lutz who had been hired two years earlier
    • In six years working with the 49ers, the team went to four NCAA Tournaments and one NIT, and won the 2004 Conference USA title
  • Got his first head coaching opportunity in 2006, taking the reigns at UNC Wilmington in the CAA
    • After winning just 7 games in his first year, Moss led the Seahawks in a remarkable turnaround to finish 20-13 (12-6) in year two
    • Things regressed in years three and four and Moss was let go during the 2009-10 season with an overall record of 41-74
  • Hired in 2011 by Cliff Ellis to be an assistant coach at Coastal Carolina; elevated to associate head coach in 2014
