List of Big Eight Player of the Year winners

The Big Eight Conference awarded Big Eight Player of the Year honors nearly season from 1956-57 through 1995-96 (except for 1960-67). Two players won the award three times each – Oklahoma’s Wayman Tisdale (1983-85) and Kansas’ Danny Manning (1986-88) – while six others won it twice each. Missouri was the program with the most winners (eight), followed by Kansas State, Oklahoma and Kansas (seven each). See also: Big Eight Coach of the Year
