Full list of Big Eight Conference Tournament men’s basketball champions, including head coach, by year. Bold means team went on to win the NCAA National Championship the same year.The Big Eight Conference was active from 1928-29 through the 1995-96 season, originally know as the Big Six, the later as the Big Seven before growing to it’s final size and name. The Big Eight Tournament started with the 1976-77 season. Missouri won the most Big Eight Tournament titles (six), followed by Kansas and Oklahoma (four each).
