The Big South Conference has awarded Big South Coach of the Year honors every season since 1985-86. The two coaches who have won the award the most times (four each) are Eddie Biedenbach and Gregg MarshallUNC Asheville and Charleston Southern are the two programs with the most awards (six each), followed by Coastal Carolina and Winthrop (five each).
