    • Younger brother Dan Hurley is the head coach at Connecticut (previously at Rhode Island, Wagner)
  • Played four years at Duke under legendary head coach Mike Krzyzewski, winning 2x NCAA National Championships
  • Started his coaching career in 2010 as an assistant for his brother Dan at Wagner
    • Followed Dan to Rhode Island a year later, serving as associate head coach for one season
