    • Played for his father from 1985-1989, winning four-straight New Jersey state titles
    • Younger brother Dan Hurley is the head coach at Connecticut (previously at Rhode Island, Wagner)
  • Played four years at Duke under legendary head coach Mike Krzyzewski, winning 2x NCAA National Championships
  • Started his coaching career in 2010 as an assistant for his brother Dan at Wagner
    • Followed Dan to Rhode Island a year later, serving as associate head coach for one season
  • Hired as head coach at Buffalo in March 2013; led the Bulls to a MAC sweep and NCAA berth in his second season
  • Named the new head coach at Arizona State in April 2015
