- Hometown: Missoula, Montana
- Alma Mater: Montana Technological University (BS, 1989) / Montana State University (M.Ed, 1999)
- Was a three-time all-conference player at Montana Tech, where he was coached by Kelvin Sampson and Rick Dessing
- After working as an engineer for three years, Huse got into coaching at his alma mater
- Arrived at Montana State for his first stint there in 1994, spending two seasons assisting Mick Durham
- Was part of the 1995-96 Bobcats team that won the Big Sky and went to the NCAA Tournament
- Became the head coach of NAIA Jamestown College in North Dakota in 1996
- Led the Jimmies for eight seasons, going 184-60 overall and winning five DAC 10 titles
- Reached the NAIA D-II Tournament four times, including three straight (2002-04) to end his tenure
- Joined Larry Krystkowiak‘s staff at Montana in 2004, working with the Grizzlies for two seasons
- Montana won the Big Sky Tournament and reached the NCAAs in both seasons Huse was there
- Returned to Montana State to be the Bobcats’ head coach in 2006, leading the program for eight seasons
- Compiled an overall record of 107-134, finishing above .500 just once during his tenure (2009-10)
- Resigned in 2014 following a fourth-straight losing season
- Member of the Jamestown College Hall of Fame (c/o 2009) and the Montana Tech Hall of Fame
- Now works in the private sector and does community service work in the Bozeman, MT area
