Southeast Missouri State hires K-State assistant Brad Korn as next head coach

Brad Korn, an assistant at Kansas State for the last four seasons, has been named the next head coach at Southeast Missouri State, the school announced Monday. Korn is an Illinois-native who played and coached at nearby Southern Illinois.

“Brad is a winner and has an incredible knack for building relationships with student-athletes, while developing them both on and off the court,” AD Brady Barke said in a statement. “His energy and passion will bring a renewed sense of excitement to SEMO basketball.”

This is the first head coaching opportunity for Korn, a long-time assistant who has spent his whole coaching career in the IL/MO/KS area. He played for head coaches Bruce Weber and Matt Painter at SIU and – in addition to his stints at K-State and SIU – was an assistant for three seasons at Missouri State in Springfield, MO.
