- Started his coaching career at his alma mater, spending eight seasons as an assistant under Chris Lowery
- As an assistant, went to three more NCAA Tournaments, including a trip to the 2007 Sweet Sixteen
- Reunited with Weber in 2012, spending the season as DBO at Kansas State
- That year, the Wildcats won a share of the Big 12 title and reached the NCAA Tournament
- Spent three seasons as an assistant at Missouri State under Paul Lusk, another former SIU assistant
- Returned to Kansas State in 2016, this time spending four seasons as one of Weber‘s assistant coaches
- In this second stint, Korn was a part of three more NCAA Tournament appearances and another Big 12 title
- Hired in March 2020 to be the head coach at Southeast Missouri State in the OVC
