  • First two head coaching jobs were at Casa Roble HS (1982-83) and Center HS (1983-87), both in the Sacramento area
  • Spent four seasons as the head coach at Lassen College (Susanville, CA), where his teams went 87-47 overall
  • Was the head coach at San Joaquin Delta CC (Stockton, CA) from 1993-2008
    • Compiled an overall record of 348-138 and reached the Final Four in 2005
  • Hired in 2008 to be the head coach at Sacramento State, serving in that role ever since
    • Had 150 wins during his tenure at Sac State and led the Hornets to the CIT in 2015
    • Retired in November 2021, just before the start of the regular season, citing ongoing health concerns
  • Along with his wife, Lori, has two daughters and three sons
