  • Alma Mater: University of Tennessee (BA, 2008 & MA, 2010)
  • Graduated from Irmo HS (SC) and then went on to Tennessee, where he spent his four undergraduate years as a student manager (first under Buzz Peterson and then Bruce Pearl)
    • Spent an additional two years with Pearl and the Volunteers as a graduate assistant
    • Was part of five NCAA Tournaments (three Sweet Sixteens) and three SEC titles at UT
  • Started out his coaching career as DPD at Tulane for one year under Ed Conroy, then spent one year each as an assistant at Northwest Florida State and at Presbyterian (the latter under Gregg Nibert)
  • Joined Will Wade‘s staff at Chattanooga in 2013 and then two years later arrived at ETSU as an assistant to Steve Forbes
    • Worked under Forbes for eights seasons – five at ETSU and then three at Wake Forest – and was part of four postseason appearances (one NCAA) and two SoCon titles
  • Returned to East Tennessee State in March 2023, when he was hired as the Buccaneers’ head coach
