  • Alma Mater: State University of New York at Fredonia (BA, 2011) / University of the Southwest (MA, 2015)
  • Started playing at Jamestown CC (NY) before transferring to D-III SUNY Fredonia in 2007, where he finished his degree but also began his coaching career as an assistant with the basketball program under head coach Kevin Moore for three seasons
  • Next up were stints as an assistant back at Jamestown CC and then for two years at Midland JC in Texas; also worked the summer camp circuit
  • Joined his first D-I coaching staff in 2015, returning to his home state to become an assistant under Nate Oats at Buffalo
    • Followed Oats to Alabama in 2019 and worked as an assistant with the Crimson Tide for four seasons
    • In eight total seasons working under Oats, Hodgson was part of four conference titles and six NCAA Tournaments, including two Sweet Sixteens
  • Hired in March 2023 to be the next head coach at Arkansas State in the Sun Belt
    • Went 20-17 in his first season, which included a run to the semifinals of the 2024 CBI
