  • Alma Mater: Xavier University (BA, 1992)
  • Played for two seasons for Jim Crews at Evansville and then two seasons for Pete Gillen at Xavier, graduating from XU in 1993
  • First coaching jobs were at McAuley HS and Mount Notre Dame HS, both in the Cincinnati area
  • Spent five seasons on the staff of the late Skip Prosser – two as DBO at Xavier and three as an assistant at Wake Forest
    • Prosser was a Xavier assistant when Mack played for the Musketeers
  • Was an assistant to Sean Miller at Xavier for five seasons before taking over as head coach in 2009
    • Led the Musketeers to eight NCAA Tournaments in nine years, including a trip to the 2017 Elite Eight
    • Won three conference regular season titles (two Atlantic 10 and one Big East)
  • Signed a seven-year deal in March 2018 to become the head coach at Louisville
    • Through three and a half seasons, Mack was 68-37 with the Cardinals
    • In January 2022, Mack and Louisville reached a separation agreement ending his tenure as head coach
  • Along with his wife, Christi, has two daughters and one son
