  • Alma Mater: Monmouth University (BA, 1993)
  • After two seasons at Champlain JC (VT), he played for head coach Wayne Szoke at Monmouth (NJ)
  • Started his coaching career in 1999 as an assistant at Manhattan under head coach Bobby Gonzalez
  • Joined Bruiser Flint‘s staff at UMass the following year, then followed him to Drexel in 2001
  • After three years at Drexel, he returned to his native NYC to coach under Norm Roberts at St. John’s
  • Was an assistant under John Calipari for two seasons at Memphis before becoming a head coach
  • Led the Marist Red Foxes in Poughkeepsie, NY for five seasons
    • Went just 41-118 during that tenure and did not make any postseason appearances
  • Spent one year in the NBA, working with the Oklahoma City Thunder and head coach Scott Brooks
  • Hired by Tom Crean in 2014 to be an assistant at Indiana, staying in Bloomington until 2017
  • That same year, Martin became an assistant South Carolina under Frank Martin
    • After four seasons in that role, Martin was promoted to associate head coach in June 2021
  • Joined Dana Altman‘s staff at Oregon as an assistant coach in April 2022
  • Reunited with Calipari in 2023, becoming one of his assistant coaches at Kentucky
