  • Alma Mater: Marshall University (BA, 2001)
  • Named West Virginia HS Player of the Year as a senior at Oak Hill HS in 1996 and played his first season of college basketball at Tennessee for head coach Kevin O’Neill before transferring back home to Marshall in 1997
    • Was a starter and team captain for three seasons for the Herd and head coach Greg White
    • After graduation, Jackson played in the NBDL and overseas in both Germany and Austria
  • Returned to his home state and began his coaching career as an assistant under Bryan Poore at D-II West Virginia State (2003-09)
  • Moved on to Division I in 2009, joining Jason James’ staff at UT Martin as an assistant; elevated to assistant head coach in 2011
  • Spent four years on Gary Waters‘ staff at Cleveland State, where he was part of two CIT appearances with the Vikings
  • Hired as an assistant at his alma mater, Marshall, in 2017 and spent the next seven seasons working under Dan D’Antoni
    • Part of the Herd’s NCAA Tournament appearance in 2018, their CIT Championship win in 2019 and move to the Sun Belt in 2023
  • Elevated to head coach at Marshall in March 2024, his first head coaching opportunity
