  • Born in Pullman, WA and attended Helena HS (MT), before playing at Montana State for head coach Mick Durham
    • Helped lead the Bobcats to the 1996 NCAA Tournament and was inducted into the Montana State Hall of Fame in 2006
  • Started his coaching career in 2000, spending one year as a grad assistant and five as an assistant at Cal State Northridge under Bobby Braswell
  • Returned to his alma mater in 2006, working as an assistant for two years under Brad Huse
  • Had a second stint at Northridge, assisting Braswell for another five seasons (eleven in total)
    • In 2009, the Matadors reached the NCAA Tournament for the second time in program history
  • Joined head coach Dedrique Taylor‘s staff at Cal State Fullerton in 2013, working with the Titans for the next six seasons
    • During that time, the staff led the program to three postseason appearances, including the 2018 NCAA Tournament
  • Hired in April 2019 to become the head coach at his alma mater, Montana State
    • In his third season, Sprinkle led the Bobcats to a Big Sky title, the program’s first in 20 years

    • The Bobcats went to the NCAA Tournament again in 2023 after winning a second-straight Big Sky Tournament
    • Went 81-43 overall in four seasons, including a 52-18 record over his final two
  • Left MSU in April 2023 to become the new head coach at Utah State
    • In his lone season, Sprinkle led the Aggies to a 28-7 (14-4) record, won the MWC title and earned an at-large NCAA Tournament bid
  • In March 2024, Sprinkle was hired to be the new head coach at Washington ahead of their move to the Big Ten
