Alabama A&M’s Donnie Marsh resigns after one season

Alabama A&M head coach Donnie Marsh resigned from his position on Saturday after just one season. The Bulldogs were just 3-28 (3-15 SWAC) in their lone season under Marsh, who was previously an assistant under Mike Davis at Texas Southern.

Marsh is well traveled as an assistant, but has a number of years experience as a head coach. He led the FIU Panthers for four seasons and had stints as head coach at Division III programs College of New Jersey and Elizabethtown College (PA).

The Bulldogs have not been to the NCAA Tournament since 2005, the program’s lone appearance at the Division I level. A nationwide search is underway for Marsh’s replacement.
