- Carlton Andrew Valentine II
- Born May 25, 1991
- Hometown: Lansing, Michigan
- Alma Mater: Oakland University (BA, 2013)
- Played football and basketball at Sexton HS in Lansing, MI, earning All-State honors in the latter as a senior in 2009
- Was a four-year contributor for Greg Kampe at Oakland, where he was part of two NCAA Tournament teams and graduated in 2013 and the winningest player in program history (87 victories)
- Started his coaching career back in Lansing, spending two seasons as a graduate assistant for Tom Izzo at Michigan State
- Younger brother, Denzel, was a star player for the Spartans; Drew was part of MSU’s 2015 Final Four staff
- Hired by Greg Kampe as an assistant coach in 2015 and spent the next two seasons working at his alma mater
- Joined Porter Moser‘s staff at Loyola Chicago in 2017, working as an assistant for the next four seasons
- Part of the Ramblers’ historic 2018 Final Four run, as well as their return to the Sweet Sixteen in 2021
- During his tenure as an assistant, the program won three Missouri Valley titles and was 99-36 overall
- In April 2021, following Moser’s departure to Oklahoma, Valentine was promoted to head coach of the Ramblers
- Finished 2nd in the MVC in his first season, then won the MVC Tournament to earn a bid to the NCAA Tournament
- The program moved to the Atlantic 10 in 2022 and after finishing last place in their first season, the Ramblers won a share of the A-10 regular season title in 2024 – an 11-win turnaround year over year
