LeBron James unveils extreme diet without creatine or artificial supplements

Kevin Durant could add to his already impressive legacy with a move that would see the 15-time NBA All-Star join forces with another star, Victor Wembanyama. That’s according to the latest reports from inside the NBA. Durant has spent his entire career at the top of the basketball world. From his college playing days for the Texas Longhorns to his amazing success with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Kevin Durant has reached the pinnacle of the NBA. His time in Phoenix has not proven to be as productive for Durant, however, a new location might be on the cards for him soon.

How has Kevin Durant become an icon of the game of basketball?

When we consider how far back Kevin Durant’s obvious talent goes, his success can come as no surprise. Durant was drafted out of Texas by the Seattle Supersonics as the second overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft. The Sonics then packed up shop and moved to Oklahoma, becoming the Thunder. Durant would prove to be the ultimate franchise player and led the Thunder to heights never thought possible before he showed up.

By the end of his rookie season, Durant was averaging 20.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game. That put him alongside other star prospects like LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony as the only teenagers in NBA history to average at least 20 points per game over an entire season. From there, it seemed like Durant had the world in his hands to do with as he pleased.

In a moment that became iconic, during his 2013-2014 MVP award speech, Durant gave all the credit to his mom. “You da real MVP” was heard around the world and melted the hearts of all who heard it. The now-famous speech displayed a different, softer side to Kevin Durant and his character. He would not become an NBA champion until moving to the Golden State Warriors and linking up with Steph Curry in 2018-19.

Could we see Kevin Durant playing alongside Victor Wembanyama in Texas?

While he has played for several teams throughout his career, time has begun to show its effects on the two-time NBA Champion. The younger players in the NBA have the potential to change the game, and if Kevin Durant wants to win another championship before the curtain falls on his illustrious career, he will need to adapt and perhaps even play alongside a rising star to complement his game.

That could be a reality if reports are to be believed. After a less-than-productive season for the Suns, Durant will surely be keeping one eye on Father Time and one eye out for potential locations to cement his legacy in the NBA. If the Suns do choose to let him go, the most likely location would be the San Antonio Spurs. Teaming up with a talent like Wembanyama could give Durant a shot at one more title run.

The potential effect of the two stars playing together could be disastrous for the other teams in the NBA. The Spurs are looking to make a return to the top of the basketball world that would see them replicate the kind of success they had with players like Tim Duncan and Tony Parker. In a league as competitive as the NBA, the challenge for the “veterans” is to keep that infamous “R” word out of their minds.

How much time does Kevin Durant have left in his career?

At 36 years old, Durant has a few years left to get back to the top of the NBA and win that elusive third title. One would have thought teaming up with Devin Booker and Chris Paul could have given him that opportunity, but alas, it was not to be. A move to Texas to play alongside Wembanyama and a certain All-Rookie First Team player could do the trick. Whether another championship ring is in Kevin Durant’s future remains to be seen, but playing alongside the most exciting big man in the NBA could not hurt in that pursuit of glory.
