  • As a player at Rutgers, helped lead the Scarlet Knights to the 1976 NCAA Final Four
    • Inducted into the Rutgers Athletics Hall of Fame in 1980
    • Drafted in the second round (33rd overall) of the 1977 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers
    • Played in the NBA for the Cavaliers, New Jersey Nets, Los Angeles Lakers and Portland Trail Blazers
    • Won an NBA Championship in 1982 as a member of the Lakers
  • After a couple college assistant gigs, Jordan spent the better part of 21 seasons as an NBA coach
    • Was head coach of the Sacramento Kings (1997-98), Washington Wizards (2003-08) & Philadelphia 76ers (2009-10)
  • Returned to alma mater Rutgers as head coach in April 2013
    • Went 29-68 in three seasons at Rutgers, including the program’s first two years as a member of the Big Ten Conference
    • Fired in March 2016 after the Scarlet Knights completed the 2015-16 season at 7-25 (1-17)
  • Hired by Steve Clifford as an assistant coach with the Charlotte Hornets in 2017
  • Has three sons, and along with his wife, Charrisse, has one son and one daughter
