  • An Upstate New York-native, Davis played basketball at D-III St. Lawrence in Canton, NY
  • Spent twelve years as an assistant at Navy under head coaches Pete Herrmann (1986-92) and Don DeVoe (1992-98)
  • Hired in 1998 to be the head coach at Colgate; went 163-214 over thirteen seasons at the helm
    • Never reached the postseason but finished .500 or better on five occasions
    • Fired in 2011 following a 7-23 season, the worst record of his tenure and a third-straight losing season
  • After some time away, Davis became an assistant under Doug Wojcik at Tulsa in 2011
  • Returned to Navy the following year, where he now serves as associate head coach under Ed DeChellis
