Eric Duft promoted to head coach at Weber State

After 16 seasons on Randy Rahe‘s staff, including 13 as associate head coach, Eric Duft has been promoted to head coach at Weber State. This is the first D-I head coaching opportunity for Duft, a Kansas-native who was one of Rahe’s first hires back in 2006.

“We are excited for coach Duft to begin his tenure as the head coach at Weber State,” said AD Tim Crompton. “His high character and passion for the game bode well for building the next phase of success and championships at Weber State.”

Prior to his long tenure at Weber, Duft coached at the JUCO level in Kansas. He spent one year as the head coach at Central CC (KS) and later was assistant for seven seasons with the well-regarded Hutchinson JC (KS) program.

The promotion comes at the same time as the announcement of Rahe’s retirement.
