- Played basketball at NAIA Spring Hill College in his hometown of Mobile, AL
- Helped lead the Badgers to three-straight NAIA Tournament appearances
- Started his coaching career at UC San Diego in 2004, becoming an assistant under Bill Carr
- Worked as an assistant for a total of nine seasons, three under Carr and and six under Chris Carlson
- Elevated to head coach of the Tritons in 2013, leading the program ever since
- Won 159 games with UCSD ahead of the transition to Division I in 2020
- Went to the NCAA D-II Tournament five times and won three CCAA titles and four CCAA Tournaments
- Named 2024 Big West COY after leading the Tritons to a 21-11 (15-5) season and a CBI appearance
