Ivy League Player of the Year
List of Ivy League Player of the Year winners
The Ivy League has awarded Ivy League Player of the Year honors every season since 1974-1975. Six players have won the award twice, the most recent being Yale‘s Justin Sears (2015-16). Penn is the program with the most winners (seventeen), followed by Princeton (fifteen) and Yale (five).
The league is considerably older than the award, established in its current form in 1954. Prior to then, the same eight schools competed against each other under various formal and informal names dating back to the late 1870’s. See also: Ivy League Coach of the Year
