  • Was a star basketball and football player at Sharyland HS (TX); started his college career at Collin County CC (TX)
  • Transferred to Hartford in 2006 and played three seasons for coach Dan Leibovitz; named Third-Team All-America East as a senior in 2009
  • First coaching role was a two-year stint back at Collin County CC (McKinney, TX) from 2009 to 2011
  • Hired by Joe Golding in 2011 to be an assistant coach at then D-II Abilene Christian
  • Arrived for his first stint at D-II Texas A&M-Commerce in 2013, working as an assistant under Sam Walker for two years
  • Spent two seasons as an assistant at his alma mater, Hartford, under head coach John Gallagher
  • Hired to take over for Walker as head coach at Texas A&M-Commerce in 2017; led the Lions to three NCAA D-II Tournaments
    • In 2022, the program moved up to Division I competition and joined the Southland Conference
    • That same summer, von Rosenberg was given a contract extension through the 2026-27 season
