  • Alma Mater: Gonzaga University (BS, 1971) / California Polytechnic State University (M.Ed, 1975)
  • After four years at Santa Barbara CC, Hillock returned to his alma mater Gonzaga to be an assistant under Dan Fitzgerald
  • Following two seasons on the bench, Hillock was named the head coach of the Bulldogs in 1981
    • Led the program for four seasons, compiling an overall record of 60-50
    • Resigned in 1985 and Fitzgerald returned to take over as head coach for second tenure
  • Next stop was a five-year stint as an assistant under Paul Westhead at Loyola Marymount
    • Was on staff for the Lions’ run of three-straight NCAA Tournaments, led by Bo Kimble and the late Hank Gathers
  • Took over as head coach at LMU when Westhead left for the NBA in 1990
    • Went 31-28 in just two seasons at the helm, finishing 2nd and 3rd in the WCC, respectively
  • Later worked in the NBA as a scout and in various front office positions
