Jean Prioleau fired after four seasons at San José State

Jean Prioleau has been fired as the head coach of the San José State Spartans, the school announced Friday. He was just 20-93 over four seasons at the helm and failed to reach the postseason.

“After meeting with Coach Prioleau, he was informed that the university is making a change in leadership in the men’s basketball program,” AD Marie Tuite said in a release. “I want to thank Coach Prioleau for everything he has done for this program. We wish him and his family all the best in the future.”

Prioleau joined the program in 2017 after spending the previous seven seasons on Tad Boyle‘s staff at Colorado. He is originally from New Jersey and played for Nick Macarchuk at Fordham.
