- Born October 7, 1966
- Hometown: San Fernando, Trinidad / St. Croix, USVI
- Alma Mater: Charter Oak State College (BS, 2007)
- Born in San Fernando, Trinidad and migrated with his parents to St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands until age 10 when the family moved to Texas
- Tang spent ten years (1993-2003) as the head coach and athletic director at Heritage Christian Academy (TX)
- Produced a number of Division I players, including eventual NBA Draft pick Von Wafer
- Joined Scott Drew‘s first staff at Baylor in 2003, embarking on one of the largest rebuilds in college basketball history
- Coached at Baylor for nineteen seasons, eventually becoming associate head coach in 2017
- Was part of ten NCAA Tournaments, three NITs, two Big 12 titles and the Bears’ 2021 National Championship
- Left Baylor in March 2022 to be the head coach of the Kansas State Wildcats
- In his first season, the Wildcats finished in 3rd in the league and Tang was named Big 12 COY and Naismith COY; led K-State to the NCAA Tournament and reached the Elite Eight as a 3-seed
