  • Hometown: Pelican Island, New Jersey
  • Alma Mater: Princeton University (BA, 1987) / University of Notre Dame (JD, 1990)
  • A three-sport athlete at Toms River HS East (NJ), Scott went on to play PG at Princeton under HOFer Pete Carril
    • After graduation, he earned his law degree from Notre Dame and practiced law in New Jersey for a year
  • Began his coaching career in 1991, spending a season at Monmouth assisting head coach Wayne Szoke
  • Returned to alma mater Princeton 1992, assisting Carril and Bill Carmody for four seasons each
    • Part of three NCAA Tournaments as an assistant, including an upset of defending champ UCLA in 1996
  • Hired in 2000 to be the head coach at Air Force, going 51-63 in four seasons
    • After winning 17 total games his first two years, his 2003-04 team went 22-7 and earned a NCAA bid
  • Left AFA for Princeton in 2004, compiling a 38-45 record in three years at the helm
  • Decided to leave his alma mater in 2007, taking over as the head coach at Denver
    • Went 146-132 over nine seasons, winning the WAC title and going to the NIT in 2013
    • Fired in 2016 following a 16-15 season, the third average campaign in a row after the NIT berth
  • Reunited with Carmody in 2016, spending the next two seasons as one of his assistants at Holy Cross
  • Joined Tom Crean‘s staff as the lead assistant coach at Georgia in April 2018
  • Hired in March 2020 to return to Air Force as head coach for a second stint with the Falcons
