  • Hometown: Fairfield, Connecticut
  • Alma Mater: The Catholic University of America (BA, 1990) / George Washington University (MA, 2001)
  • Played for Jack Bruen at D-III Catholic U in DC and then started his coaching career in 1994 at D-III Gallaudet (also in DC)
    • Was an assistant for three years in total, first under James DeStefano (1994-96) and then under Clifford Geffen (1996-97)
    • Elevated to head coach at Gallaudet in 1997, going 6-44 overall in two years (3-22 each season)
  • Stepped away from coaching to earn his masters at George Washington and also spent time working as a TV commentator for D-III basketball
  • Returned to coaching at his alma mater, Catholic U, in 2004 and spent two seasons assisting head coach Steve Howes
  • Joined Tom Brennan‘s staff at Vermont in 2004 as DBO and retained that position a year later under new UVM head coach Mike Lonergan
    • Became a full-time assistant in 2008 and was chosen to replace Lonergan as the Catamounts head coach in May 2011
    • Led the team to the 2012 NCAA Tournament in his first year; returned to the NCAAs in both 2017 and 2019
    • Has won nine America East regular season titles in total, including eight-straight from 2017-24
    • In 2024, won his seventh America East COY award, the most in conference history
    • Led the Catamounts to six NCAA Tournaments in total, all by way of America East Tournament crowns
