  • Alma Mater: Washington and Lee University (BS, 1996)
  • Was a three-year starter at D-III Washington and Lee (VA), serving as captain during his senior year
    • Played for head coached Verne Canfield and Kevin Moore
  • Started coaching career in 1997 at D-III Emory and Henry, working under Bob Johnson, then moved up to D-I after three years to become an assistant under John Kresse at the College of Charleston
  • Worked under Derek Waugh at Stetson for eight seasons and under Emmett Davis at Colgate for two
    • Was a high school teammate of Waugh’s at the Marist School in Brookhaven, Georgia
  • Joined Tony Jasick‘s staff at Purdue Fort Wayne (formerly IPFW and Fort Wayne) as an assistant in 2011
  • Three years later was promoted to head coach of the Mastodons and has been at the helm ever since
    • Has six postseason berths through ten seasons: 4 CITs, 1 CBI and 1 NIT (in 2016 after sharing the Summit title)
    • In 2022, PFW earned a share of the Horizon League title for the first time after joining in 2020; Coffman was named Horizon COY
