You can imagine the joy in their hearts and the smiles on their faces when the winners won at the Junior Olympics boxing. The pressure that comes when these kinds of events happen is crazy. There is pressure from the team and leagues, and self-imposed pressure because everyone wants to win, be recognised and make a name for themselves. However, now that the Junior Olympics boxing has concluded in Las Vegas, we can confidently say those who pushed the boundaries can celebrate, breathe and pat themselves on the back. It was not an easy 6 days, but it was worth it.

The Olympics in LA become a place where dreams come true and names are recognised

If you look at it with a different lens, you would be able to see that this city became more than just a city or place with a name but a place that transformed many boxers’ lives. Their dreams came to pass, even by just participating. It is not always about taking the trophy home, but the sense of belonging is what makes a boxer feel appreciated.

Many young fighters were talking and dreaming of this moment, and they got it. Furthermore, every punch and glove was accompanied by early morning training, gyming, intense workout and building endurance. Something that pushed many towards their end goal, which is to win. Today, we will look at the elite champions crowned at the Junior Olympics boxing in LA.

New elite champions are crowned and born in Las Vegas

Even if they went to the Olympics with a great sense of championship, you know, good at what they do, they definitely came back better. Exposure changes you as a person, and it does not matter how good or bad you might be at something; there is always a level of growth that happens within. These are the elite champions who won and were crowned at the Junior Olympics boxing in Las Vegas:

Gold Medalists

  1. Lauryn Elmore.
  2. Joseph Awinongya.
  3. Kayla Moore.
  4. Nnajai Wright.
  5. Salim Ellis-Bey.
  6. Lorenzo Patricio.
  7. Alexis Tangaro.

Silver Medalists

  1. Landon Patricio.
  2. Jose Vasquez

Junior Olympics Boxing produced America’s next champions: Stars were born

The thing that might not have been paid attention to is that these crowned individuals could become America’s top boxers and change boxing in the Olympics in general. Now, they are trusted with their skill and can enter any other global or national competition and build up from there again. It was a heated event with fights, winnings, losses and everything associated with boxing, but we now have our champions.

Now, let us take away the beauty of the golden or bronze trophies and medals and look at them beyond that. Character and discipline have been sharpened within those elite players. I spoke of trust, right? Now they can be trusted. Now that the IOC has reinstated boxing for the 2028 Olympics under the newly recognised World Boxing Federation, we can hope and trust that these champions will feature there as well.

Now that the lights are off and dimmed, Las Vegas is not saying goodbye, but it is sending back a new breed of boxers. Boxers who came in ordinary and went back better and extraordinary. It is something to cheer for, you know. Now, all of those who won can go back and impact the emerging generation. Those who see themselves participating in the Olympics as well. As the world is focused on the drama between Jake Paul vs. Chavez Jr. and the fight that brought the boxing world to a standstill, we can also focus on the elite champions and how they will execute their wins in the world.
