- Alma Mater: University of Connecticut (BS, 1986)
- Played at Cambridge Rindge and Latin School in Boston alongside Hall of Famer Patrick Ewing before heading to UConn to play for Dom Perno
- Started coaching in 1987 as an assistant at Boston U under head coach Mike Jarvis, who had coached him at Cambridge
- Returned to UConn in 1993 to become an assistant coach under Hall of Famer Jim Calhoun
- Was on staff when the Huskies won their first ever NCAA Championship in 1999
- Spent ten seasons as the head coach at George Washington, winning 166 games, two Atlantic 10 regular seasons, two Atlantic 10 Tournaments and earning three trips to the NCAA Tournament
- Rejoined Calhoun’s staff at UConn in 2012 and remained on staff as the program was handed over to Kevin Ollie
- Was an assistant for another NCAA Championship in 2014
- Worked for his former GWU assistant Steve Pikiell at Rutgers as associate head coach for seven seasons; part of the Knights’ back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances in 2021 and 2022
- Left Rutgers in 2023 to be the associate head coach for Damon Stoudamire at Georgia Tech
