- Alma Mater: Fairfield University (BA, 2002)
- Born in Pennsylvania and raised in DC, Urgo played lacrosse and basketball at Fairfield, the latter for head coach Tim O’Toole
- Helped develop the non-profit “Playing for Peace, Inc.” organization to aid conflict resolution overseas; spent two years living in South Africa, Northern Ireland, the West Bank, and Greece
- Started his coaching career in 2004, as an assistant and JV coach at his alma mater, Gonzaga HS in DC
- Hired by Jay Wright in 2007 to be the video coordinator at Villanova; was elevated to DBO the following year and then to assistant coach in 2010
- In four seasons with the Wildcats, Urgo was part of four NCAA Tournaments including the 2009 Final Four run
- Spent ten seasons at Penn State, nine under Pat Chambers and one under Jim Ferry; was an assistant from 2011-13 and then was associate head coach for the remaining eight seasons
- Joined Kyle Neptune‘s staff at Fordham in 2021 as associate head coach; Neptune and Urgo had previously worked together for two seasons at Villanova (2008-10)
- Promoted to head coach at Fordham in April 2022 following Neptune’s return to Villanova
- In his first season, he led the Rams to a second-place finish and was named Atlantic 10 COY; also won the Joe B. Hall Award as the best first-year head coach in Division I
