  • Played for four years at Butler for head coaches Barry Collier and Thad Matta
  • First coaching positions were within the Butler program under head coach Todd Lickliter
    • Followed Lickliter to Iowa in 2007 where he continued to work as an assistant for three seasons
  • Served as an assistant coach to John Beilein at Michigan for six seasons; part of the 2013 NCAA Runner-up team
  • Hired in 2016 to be the head coach at Milwaukee; went 11-24 in his lone season with the Panthers
  • Returned to his alma mater, Butler, in June 2017 to be the Bulldogs’ new head coach
    • Led Butler to a 20-win season and NCAA Tournament berth in his first year on the job
    • Was unable to return to the NCAAs in the next four years and was fired in April 2022; went 83-74 overall
  • Along with his wife, Destinee, has three daughters
