Pacific announced on Monday that head men’s basketball coach Leonard Perry has been reassigned within the University. Associate head coach Josh Newman will serve as the Tigers’ interim head coach during this week’s WCC Tournament.
Perry was hired in 2021 to replace Damon Stoudamire, after spending the previous five seasons as Stoudamire’s associate head coach. He finishes with an overall record of 29-65, which includes a 6-25 mark in 2023-24.
The Tigers went 0-16 in WCC play this season and will be the 9-seed, tipping off on Thursday against 8-seed Pepperdine in Las Vegas.
