  • Hometown: Brooklyn, New York
  • Alma Mater: Seton Hall University (BA, 1998)
  • Originally from Brooklyn, Sanders attended Jamaica HS in Queens then went on to play at Seton Hall
    • Spent four seasons with the Pirates, where he was coached by George Blaney (1994-97) and Tommy Amaker (1997-98)
    • Was Second Team All-Big East as a senior in 1998 but went undrafted and instead moved overseas
  • Played for 16 years with seven different teams in the Czech Republic, Belgium and Poland
  • Final playing stop was a second stint with BK Pardubice, where he would then begin his coaching career in 2014
    • After two seasons as an assistant, Sanders was named head coach in 2016 and led the team for three seasons
    • Named Coach of the Year in 2017 and also helped coached the Czech Republic U18 team the same year
  • Returned to the US in 2019, becoming an assistant under Tommy Dempsey at Binghamton
