Just when we thought what brings a team down is consistent loss, well, what if I told you that injuries play a significant role in derailing a team? The Los Angeles Dodgers are not doing well. There are a lot of other players that keep getting hurt, getting rehabilitated, and getting benched, and it has done so much harm to the team; they are considering making some changes to make things better for them. You know, the Dodgers are actually one of those teams younger baseball players aspire to play for because they have always had a good reputation, but something is just off, and it needs attention ASAP!

The Dodgers have a chance to bounce back, but they just need a push and a change in strategy

This is not to say the Dodgers have never faced challenges or some type of adversity; however, this time around, it needs to be acknowledged that they need to act quickly and fast. They have always risen to the top and recovered from everything, and this is not to say this time around they cannot. But it just looks like they will need to intensify some strategies to climb back up again.

The roster has good players. We are definitely not taking that away from them. The Dodgers have good players, but the issue here is related to health. There is no health consistency, and it is affecting them so much. Roki Sasaki had an injury update that also affected the team in some way. Fans? Well, they are watching, talking, and wondering what is happening and hoping some of their best players make a comeback soon.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are planning significant organisational adjustments

These changes have nothing to do with trade-ins or training, but the number of players that have been injured in the past two seasons has been very bad. It has left the team worried. Players such as Blake Snell, Kirby Yates, and Tanner Scott, just to name a few, have also been injured. The good part is that the coaches and the overall team’s management have discovered what the issue is.

Dodgers general manager Brandon Gomes seems to have an answer, although it is not 100% the reason behind it, but it is a potential reason. This is what he said, as this was the topic of concern,

“We’ve done a good job of keeping minor leaguers healthy. It’s when they get to the big leagues that the intensity amplifies. So it’s about building the best possible foundation. So we’ve re-examined how we’re building the foundation in the minor leagues.

Tony Gonsolin of the Dodgers speaks out following another elbow injury

It looks like a wave of injuries has just hit the Dodgers. One of their players, Tony Gonsolin, felt an uncomfortable feeling in his elbow during the game. It has made him very worried because he thought he tore the ulnar collateral ligament as he went to surgery for the same elbow in 2023, and it has slowed his career for a while now.

Injuries are a big deal in the world of sports, especially when they happen time and time again without any explanation. If it happens to just two players in a space of two seasons, then, yes, it is something we often brush away, but if it happens in every season and, in this case, two seasons, to more than four players, it gets concerning. Recently, Dodgers player Jazz Chisholm Jr also had to return from an injury. The pattern is quite bad. The Dodgers fixing this issue will not happen in a short space of time, but it is good that they have identified the problem and should work on it.
