  • Alma Mater: Butler University (BS, 1998 & M.Ed, 2003)
  • Grew up with his two brothers – Andrew and A.J. – in Switz City, IN; all three Graves brothers would go on to play at Butler
  • First coaching hobs were as an assistant at North Central HS and Ben Davis HS, both in Indianapolis
  • Returned to Butler in 2000 and spent the next thirteen years on staff there, the last three as associate head coach; coached his younger brother, A.J.
  • Hired in 2013 to be the head coach at South Alabama, leading the Jaguars for five seasons
    • Went 65-96 and did not finish above .500 in any season; he and his staff were let go in March 2018
  • Was an assistant under for Walter McCarty for one year at Evansville and under Travis Steele for two years at Xavier
  • Hired in April 2021 to be the associate head coach at Indiana State by new head coach Josh Schertz
    • Key part of the Sycamore staff that built the program up from 11 wins in year one to 32 wins and a NIT Runner-up in year three
  • Elevated to head coach at Indiana State in April 2024 after Schertz left for Saint Louis
