Middle Atlantic Regular Season Champions

Middle Atlantic Regular Season Champions

Full list of Middle Atlantic Conference men’s basketball regular season champions, including head coach, by year. Bold means team went on to win the NCAA National Championship the same year. Originally established in 1912, there have been more than 50 programs associated with the conference throughout the years (as many as 37 at once in the late 1950s). The NCAA began separate programs into Divisions I, II and III in 1974, causing the twelve Division I members of the Middle Atlantic (American, Bucknell, Delaware, Drexel, Hofstra, La Salle, Lafayette, Lehigh, Rider, Saint Joseph’sTemple and West Chester) to leave and form the East Coast Conference. The Middle Atlantic Conferences are active today, being fully associated at the Division III level since 1976.

NOTE: There was never a men’s basketball tournament in this conference.
